CNM TW BUILDING
Albuquerque, NM

Tom Wiley Hall is CNM Montoya’s Gateway building. Located at the campus entry, it represents the campus’ first impression. The TW facility renovation has redeveloped the building as a one-stop shop for student services that guides students from admission through enrollment and offers assistance for financial aid, career exploration and job placement. As such, TW has become a focal point for students new to the CNM Montoya Campus.

The TW renovation reconfigured 25,000 SF, vacated by the bookstore relocation, to accommodate all student services – Cashiers, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Special Services, Assessment, Enrollment Services, Student Activities; centralize all assessment and testing functions; and create CNM Connect, a welcoming student-centered resource zone. Additionally, TW received mechanical upgrades to increase energy efficiency, elevator replacement, security cameras, restroom upgrades, glazing upgrades and technology upgrades including communications cabling.

Architectural interventions focused on enhancing the student experience. Naturally lit study opportunities, plenty of places for students to ‘plug-in’ to technology and community-enhancing lounge areas contribute to greater usability of the facility and an increased sense of activity on campus.
